Everyone knows the Burj Khalifa, but Dubai’s second-best view might be the more fun one. Sky Views Observatory sits on levels 52 and 53 of the Address Sky View hotel, 219 metres up, and looks straight at the Burj Khalifa instead of out from it. Add a transparent slide running along the outside of the building and a hair-raising Edge Walk, and you have an observation deck that is more playground than platform.
Three ways to test your nerves
The standard ticket gets you the observatory with its floor-to-ceiling glass and a glass-floor corridor. The popular combo adds the Glass Slide: a fully transparent tube that curls down the facade from level 53 to 52. It lasts only a few seconds, but they stay with you. The bravest can book the Edge Walk: strapped into a harness, you walk hands-free around the open rim of the building.
Winter angle
This is the best spot in town to photograph the Burj Khalifa with the fountain lake in front. In winter the air is clear enough to watch the evening fountain shows from above – go up 30 minutes before sunset and stay for the lights. Downtown, the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall are a ten-minute walk away.
Opening hours and prices
Open daily, roughly 10:00 to 22:00. Observatory entry starts around AED 89 for adults (checked July 2026); the Glass Slide combo costs more and the Edge Walk is a separate booking. Children under 3 go free; the slide has a minimum age.

Good to know
Different views: from the Burj you look over the city, from Sky Views you look at the Burj. Photographers usually prefer Sky Views; first-timers often do both with a combo ticket.
Yes, from age 3 and minimum height requirements apply. You slide seated on a mat, one person at a time.
