Rain never stops play in Dubai, but on the rare grey winter day – or a scorching one – IMG Worlds of Adventure is the answer: the largest indoor theme park in the world, big enough to park 28 football pitches inside. Marvel superheroes, Cartoon Network, animatronic dinosaurs and a haunted house share one gigantic air-conditioned hall.
The six zones
The park splits into Marvel (with the Avengers and a Spider-Man coaster), Cartoon Network (Ben 10, Adventure Time – ideal for younger kids), Lost Valley with its surprisingly lifelike dinosaurs and the Velociraptor coaster that shoots you briefly outside the building, IMG Boulevard, the Haunted Town, and a Kid Zone for the smallest visitors. The Velociraptor and The Haunted Hotel are the two big talking points: one for speed, the other for scares (16+).
Winter tip
Locals save IMG for the odd rainy day or for the hottest afternoons around the winter school holidays. If you are combining it with Global Village, they are ten minutes apart by taxi: IMG in the afternoon, Global Village after dark is a classic Dubai winter double.
Opening hours and prices
Open daily from 12:00, closing 22:00 Sunday to Thursday and 23:00 on Friday and Saturday (checked July 2026). Standard tickets hover around AED 175–250 online depending on the day; children under 1.05m pay less and under-3s go free. Booking online is consistently cheaper than the gate.

How to get there
IMG Worlds is on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, about 20 minutes by taxi from Downtown. There is no metro connection; a taxi from the red line at Mall of the Emirates costs roughly AED 40–50.
Good to know
IMG is fully indoor and stronger for thrill rides; Motiongate (at Dubai Parks) is open-air and more film-set styled. In winter both work – in summer, IMG wins.
Weekdays outside school holidays: 10-20 minutes for the big coasters. UAE weekends (Sat-Sun) and December get busy; a Fast Track add-on exists.
It is a walk-through attraction included in your ticket, but strictly 16+ and genuinely intense. Staff enforce the age limit.
