Aquaventure: the world’s largest waterpark, open all winter

With 50 slides across 22 hectares on Palm Jumeirah, Aquaventure at Atlantis The Palm is the largest waterpark in the world – and thanks to Dubai’s winter climate it stays open all season. While waterparks at home are shut from October to April, here you are sliding down the near-vertical Leap of Faith in 25-degree sunshine.

What makes it the biggest

Aquaventure counts three slide towers. The Tower of Neptune is the classic, with the Leap of Faith dropping you through a shark-filled lagoon in a transparent tube. The Tower of Poseidon added the world’s largest collection of record slides, including Odyssey of Terror. And for families, Splasher’s Island keeps children under 1.20m busy for hours with mini slides and splash pads. A private beach with Palm views is included.

Is the water not cold in winter?

No – the pools and slides are temperature-controlled, and daytime temperatures between November and March hover around 25 to 28 degrees. Winter is actually the pleasant season here: you can queue in the sun without melting. Only in the evening does it cool down; bring a dry hoodie for after.

Opening hours and prices

Open daily from roughly 9:30 until sunset (about 18:00 in midwinter, later towards April). Day passes start around AED 300–350 depending on the season (checked July 2026); combos with The Lost Chambers aquarium are usually the better deal. Towels and lifejackets are included, lockers cost extra.

How to get there

Take the tram to Palm Jumeirah station and change to the Palm Monorail; Atlantis Aquaventure is the final stop, right at the park entrance. The monorail ride alone, straight over the Palm, is worth the trip.

Good to know

How much time do I need?

A full day. If you arrive at opening you will have done the big three slides before the crowds arrive around noon.

Which slides have height limits?

The record slides require 1.20m minimum. Splasher’s Island is specifically for kids under 1.20m, so every age has options.

Do hotel guests get in free?

Guests of Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal get unlimited access included, which is worth factoring into a hotel choice on the Palm.
