Grand Hyatt Dubai Waterpark is the newest waterpark in the city and the one nobody expected: a 20,000-square-metre park with 16 rides, a wave pool with a real sand beach and the region’s first triple FlowRider, tucked into the gardens of the Grand Hyatt on Dubai Creek, fifteen minutes from Downtown. It opened to the public in late 2025 as a “boutique” waterpark – smaller and calmer than Aquaventure, with a day pass at AED 375 and cabanas by the slides. In winter, with the water heated and the temperature at 24°C, it is the easy family day out that does not eat the whole day.

The rides: slide towers, FlowRider and a lazy river
Two slide towers carry the thrill rides. The Drop Loop starts with a trapdoor and a near-vertical fall into a loop; the Constrictor is a tight, fast tube slide; the Boomerango shoots a raft up a wall and back; the AquaTube and Aqua Twist are the gentler family slides you can ride together. The FlowRider – three surf simulators side by side, the first triple in the Middle East – is where teenagers spend the afternoon and adults discover their limits; instructors help beginners.
The rest of the park is built for lingering: a wave pool that breaks onto a sand beach with loungers, a lazy river that winds through the resort’s palms, and two children’s zones – Funbolic, a multi-level play structure with small slides and tipping buckets, and Splash Planet for toddlers. Most rides have a 107 cm height rule for the big slides; below that height children ride the family slides and the kids’ zones.

Why it works in winter
Dubai’s waterparks are a summer idea that is actually better in winter: the pools are heated, the sun is warm rather than dangerous, and you can do a morning of slides and still see the city in the afternoon. Grand Hyatt’s park is the one to pick when you have young children or only half a day – it is compact, the queues are short outside school holidays, and the beach and lazy river do most of the work. For the full-scale version with the shark tunnel and 100-plus slides, see Aquaventure at Atlantis; our comparison of all parks is on the coolest waterparks in Dubai. Wild Wadi, the classic next to the Burj Al Arab, is temporarily closed.
Opening hours and how to get there
Open daily from 10:30 to 18:30 (18:00 in some periods; hours can change around events and public holidays). The park sits in the grounds of the Grand Hyatt Dubai on Sheikh Rashid Road, next to Dubai Creek and the Healthcare City district. Dubai Healthcare City station on the green metro line is five minutes away by taxi or a 15-minute walk; from Downtown it is 15 minutes by car and from the airport about the same. Parking at the hotel is free for waterpark guests. Appropriate swimwear is required and sold on site.

Stay at the resort and swim for free
Hotel guests get waterpark access included – one entry per night stayed – which turns the Grand Hyatt Dubai into one of the better-value family bases in the city: 37 acres of gardens on the Creek, pools, and the waterpark at the door. Alternatively stay in Downtown or Deira and take a taxi; both are 15 minutes away. Compare hotels around Dubai Creek on Booking.com.
