Atlantis The Palm: the resort that is the attraction

Atlantis The Palm resort at the top of Palm Jumeirah

Atlantis The Palm is less a hotel than a small kingdom at the tip of the island. Staying here means unlimited access to Aquaventure – the world’s largest waterpark – plus The Lost Chambers aquarium, a lagoon with 90,000 sea creatures, celebrity-chef restaurants and a beach with views back across the whole Dubai coastline.

Who it suits

Families, full stop – no other Dubai resort keeps children (and adults) this busy without leaving the grounds. Also honeymooners who book the Underwater Suites and anyone for whom the hotel is the holiday.

Location and getting around

At the very top of the Palm crescent. The Palm Monorail terminates at the resort’s doorstep, connecting via the trunk to the tram and onwards to the metro – you can genuinely reach Downtown by rail from here.

Nearby highlights

You are the highlight – but the boardwalk along the crescent, The Pointe’s successor promenades and the rest of the Palm reward an evening stroll. Fireworks light the crescent on New Year’s Eve.

Frequently asked questions

Is Aquaventure really unlimited for guests?

Yes – resort guests get unlimited waterpark and Lost Chambers access for the whole stay, which alone offsets a chunk of the room rate for families.

Atlantis The Palm or The Royal?

The Royal next door is the newer, adults-oriented ultra-luxury sibling. For families and the waterpark lifestyle, the original Atlantis remains the pick.
